John 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1-5 NKJV)

Day 3 (Idaho Bound)
Last night we were able to make it to Sheridan Wyoming! Not too far from the Montana border. Had a pretty good day yesterday! Not as eventful as day one 😜
This morning we've made it to Montana, just trucking it along! We should get to Idaho late this evening. GPS shows we have about 9.5 hrs of driving. Plus all the pit stops ;)
Day 2 (Idaho Bound)
Well, day 2 and here we are!! We made it to Amarillo last night and had to stop there because mom got sick. Had quite the day yesterday! The Uhaul I was in, it's AC went out in the middle of the day. And in Texas! That was not so cool :( haha.
So we had to stop for about 2 hrs to get it fixed, but other than that it went pretty good!

1 Corinthians 15
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (I Corinthians 15:50-58 NKJV)

We Salute Our Veterans
We Salute Our Veterans This Memorial Day
This Memorial Day…
We salute every soldier who’s
served this great nation.
And offer a heart of thanks
and appreciation!
We salute each member
of our armed forces.
And are thankful for their
efforts and resources!
We salute the many who
protect our borders too.
We’d be in trouble…
If not for people like YOU!
We salute every son and
daughter lost in a war.
YOU are what serving this
country is meant for!
We salute the officers who’ve
guided our women and men.
Our prayers are with you!
And our love from within!
We salute our veterans!
Wherever they may be!
Those who served on
land, air and sea!
Offering prayer to the
Lord is our belief…
That he will guide our
Commander-in-Chief!
As we observe Memorial Day this year…
Let’s offer our soldiers
love, hope and cheer…
May God bless them in
all they endeavor
And his peace be with them
today and forever!! (By Jim Pemberton)

Psalm 23
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever." (Psalms 23:1-6 NKJV)
Happy Sunday, I pray that you have a blessed week.

God's Flight
I found this poem earlier today, and just wanted to share it with you. Check out the link at the bottom to read more of their peoms!
God's Flight
On the ground sits a bird
that's too afraid to fly.
Beautiful wings could make it soar,
but the pain of past failure is it's lonesome cry.
God has said unto this bird,
"Trust and have faith in me,
for I will carry you in your flight.
The miracle of life is waiting for you to see."
The bird said to God, "But I can't fly.
I am weak. I will fall and feel pain
It's happened before when I tried to fly.
I'm afraid of being hurt again."
His voice soft and reassuring, God said to the bird,
I created you, and I will protect you.
Your lonesome cry I have heard.
Have faith in me. That's all you need to do.
So, stand up, bird, and spread your wings.
The wings I lovingly created to let you fly.
If you fall I'll pick you up,
and lift you back into the sky."
With trembling legs and unsure wings
the bird finally looked to the sky.
It took a deep breath, and took the chance.
The bird began to fly.
"Thank you, God, for believing in me.
Thank you for giving me wings.
Thank you for your protecting hands.
Your glory I will now sing."
God smiled unto the bird
in its majestic flight.
"Little bird, I'll always be with you,
and will protect you with all my might.
You may stumble. You may fall.
That doesn't mean that I don't care.
I will watch over you, in case you need help,
and then I'll be right there."
The little bird, once so scared,
learned to soar to new heights.
The occasional fall no longer scared the bird,
choosing to have faith in Gods flight.

Don't Quit
"Don't Quit"
When things go wrong
as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging
seems all uphill,
When the funds are low
and the debts are high,
And you want to smile
but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
as everyone of us sometimes learns
and many a fellow turn about
when he might have won
had he stuck it out.
Don't give up
though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than it seems
to a faint and faltering man.
Often the struggler has given up
when he might have captured
the victor's cup and he learned too late
when the night came down
how close he was to the golden crown.
Success is a failure turned inside out-
the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems afar
So stick to the fight
when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst
that you mustn't quit.

The Man Who Thinks He Can
The Man Who Thinks He Can
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't
If you'd like to win, but think you can't
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world we find
Success being with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you're outclassed, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or fastest man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.
(Walter D. Wintle)
I love this because it is so true! If we have doubt in our abilities, we won't accomplish anything.

Nasty weather
Hey guys!
I don't know about ya'll, but I live here in Texas and the weather has been pretty nasty. So I just wanted to encourage you runners out there to get out there and run anyway. If not run, at least get in a workout. At least for myself, in this kind of weather I tend to get a little lazy haha. But I am out on my second workout for the day and plan to go running later. So don't let this nasty weather get to ya! Enjoy the rain! 💦💦💧

Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. (Psalms 121:1-2 KJV)
A friend wrote this verse to me, and it is just so comforting to know that we are not going through life on our own!

1 John 2:15-16
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:15-16 KJV)
I just read this verse and it really touched me... Just wanted to share it.
Well Done
"Well done" by Moriah Peters is my all time favorite song to listen to when I am working out. It is so encouraging!
Whatever we set ourselves to do in life, we need to always do it to the best of our abilities.

Believers
If you have not heard this song by Joe Nichols, you really need to listen to it. I just finished listening to it while working out, and I love it! Here are the words:
"Believers"
Outside the courthouse on 5th and vine
There's a hundred people holdin' up their homemade signs
They say they'll be there sunshine or rain
'Til somebody listens, 'til somethin's changed
Believers, believers
They gotta little more faith than the world has doubt
The earth might shake but they stand their ground
And God only knows where we'd be without believers
They were a couple o' kids with cheap weddin' bands
They didn't have nothin' but big ole plans
Thirty five years later, they're still goin' strong
Aw but they're not surprised, they knew it all along
Believers, believers
They gotta little more faith than the world has doubt
The earth might shake but they stand their ground
And God only knows where we'd be without believers
Eighty nine years old and a momma still prays
That her wayward son will find his way
There's a telephone call that makes her cry
It's her son sayin', momma, I've seen the light
Everybody told her she was wastin' her time
Believers, believers
They gotta little more faith than the world has doubt
The earth might shake but they stand their ground
And God only knows where we'd be without, without believers, believers
